ICO Part C Topics dashboard with modules and progress in OphthalmologyQ

Part C is Clinical Ophthalmology: 120 MCQs over three hours, testing subspecialty knowledge from eyelids and orbit through to retina and neuro-ophthalmology. You can only book it once Parts A and B are behind you—and the syllabus is wide enough that uneven clinical exposure shows up in the score.

This bank gives you 4,000 clinical MCQs across those subspecialties, with progress tracking so you know which areas still need work before you sit the capstone paper.

What's included

Subspecialty MCQ practice for the clinical paper—useful whether you are strong on retina but rusty on paediatrics, or the other way around.

4,000 clinical MCQs

Cornea, glaucoma, retina, neuro-ophthalmology, paediatrics, uveitis, orbit, and the rest of the Part C syllabus

Subspecialty breadth

The clinical paper spans the whole of ophthalmology—ward rotations alone rarely cover every area evenly

Management reasoning

Explanations that walk through diagnosis, next steps, and why the distractors are wrong—not rote fact lists

Gap spotting by topic

Analytics show which subspecialties need more reps before you commit to a Part C sitting

The clinical capstone

For trainees who have passed Parts A and B and are working through the final Standard exam towards FICO

120 questions, 3 hours

Same format as Part A on timing, but entirely clinical—four-option single best answer, no negative marking

The Clinical Ophthalmology paper

Part C uses the same MCQ mechanics as Part A—four options, three hours, no mark deducted for wrong answers—but the content is entirely clinical. Passing Parts A, B, and C completes the ICO Standard examinations and is a key step towards FICO. Public-health ophthalmology, pathology, and general-medicine topics relevant to eye disease all appear alongside subspecialty stems.
